Job summary

Meinhardt Group Singapore is seeking a capable urban designer to deliver master planning and urban design inputs across projects. You will translate concepts into clear drawings and visuals, coordinate with leaders, and support proposals and client communications.

Fresh graduates welcome; salary commensurate with experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and GIS tools is preferred, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Apply City and Regional Planning guidelines where necessary.
  • Contribute to master planning or urban design projects.
  • Create innovative design solutions and translate into visuals and drawings.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies on project scope and impact.
  • Assist with business development, including proposals and client deliverables.
  • Travel up to 20% as project needs require.
  • Report project activities and progress to senior management.
  • Support day-to-day client communications and managing expectations.
  • Prepare showcases, proposals, and marketing materials for submissions.

Job description

Job Description
  • To apply and conform to standard practices for City and Regional Planning guidelines where necessary.
  • To apply best in urban planning and design techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications on projects
  • Independently supports the team in delivering projects primarily involving master planning or urban design input in coordination with the team leaders
  • Create innovative design solutions or task management in support of projects in urban design and planning concepts and translate them into clear and compelling graphic images and technical drawings
  • Assist in coordinating and consult with international and local regulatory agencies on scope and impact of project when necessary
  • Assist with business development activities, including the preparation of RFP and EOI submissions and client-facing deliverables.
  • Occasional business travel may be required depending on project needs, up to approximately 20% of the time.
  • Assist in reporting project activities and progress to senior management.
  • Support the team in managing day-to-day communication with clients and handling client expectations.
  • Assist in preparing project showcases, proposals, and other marketing and promotional materials to attract potential clients and support submissions for authority approvals.
Job Requirement
  • Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design or related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and PowerPoint, with the ability to support team leaders in preparing technical drawings and presentations.
  • Candidates with a strong flair for urban design and spatial articulation will be preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in QGIS or ArcGIS will be an advantage, together with an understanding of data structures and the ability to develop clear narratives and quantified findings that support planning deliverables
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows for preparing visuals and data dashboards, and for extracting key findings from large datasets and reports.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, and salary will be commensurate with experience. A senior position may be considered for candidates with relevant experience, who should also be able to guide junior staff and manage subconsultants to support project delivery
