Job summary

Aibel is seeking an experienced Material Technology professional to lead material selection, corrosion management and integrity assurance across upstream oil and gas projects. You will act as the primary interface for the Material Technology Discipline and support during tenders, FEED, and detailed engineering phases.

The role requires a strong track record in metallic and non-metallic materials, adherence to industry standards, and the ability to drive technical reviews with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical communication (verbal and written) across disciplines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Self-starter who can work independently, make sound decisions and solve problems.
• Familiarity with material selection tools and standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as single point of contact for the Material Technology Discipline.
• Support project teams during tenders and FEED or Detailed Engineering phases.
• Oversee material selection and corrosion management to ensure equipment integrity.
• Review metallurgy-related inputs and bidder offers for packages.
