Job summary

RAPSYS TECHNOLOGIES PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a skilled System Engineer specializing in Unix/Linux to manage robust IT infrastructures and tackle complex problems. You will administer Unix/Linux systems, implement automation, monitor performance, and collaborate across teams.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years hands-on experience, proficiency in Bash/Korn shell, knowledge of LVM/RAID, experience with Nagios or Zabbix, and familiarity with cloud and container basics.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on Unix/Linux system administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Korn shell).
• Solid understanding of file systems, LVM, and RAID configurations.
• Experience with system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix or similar).
• Working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, SSH).
• Experience with patching and vulnerability management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
