Job summary

Synapxe invites undergraduates in Year 2 or 3 to join as interns on the GPConnect project, contributing to AI-powered chatbot development and admin portal enhancements within a HealthTech context in Singapore.

You will participate in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment across the full SDLC, collaborating with developers, operations teams, and stakeholders to deliver practical, user-friendly solutions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in Year 2 or Year 3 pursuing a degree in Business AI Systems, Information Systems, CS, CE, IS or related discipline.
• Proficient in programming languages and tools such as C#, SQL Server, and Java.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable, proactive and a strong team player.
• Exhibit leadership qualities with good verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Chatbot Development for GPConnect users.
• Design and develop chatbots to support GPConnect users.
• Enable functionalities such as responding to common user queries and drawing from knowledge base.
• Raise service tickets when issues cannot be resolved.
• Integrate chatbot features with existing systems and workflows.
• Enhance Admin Portal functionalities to support operations teams.
• Design and implement new features to improve workflow management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and improve usability.
• Participate in requirements gathering, functional and technical design.
• Develop features based on approved specifications and perform testing.

We are looking for intern(s) to support the project on Clinic Management System (CMS). GPConnect is a Healthier SG-compatible Clinic Management System (CMS) used by over 200 GP clinics across Singapore. It provides a comprehensive, user-friendly platform that supports clinic operations, including patient management, consultations, billing, and electronic medical records (EMR). This project focuses on enhancing GPConnect through the development of AI-powered chatbots and admin portal functionalities, aimed at improving operational efficiency and user support for clinics.

The Selected Intern(s) Will Assist In

• Chatbot Development
• Design and develop chatbots to support GPConnect users
• Enable functionalities such as:
• Responding to common user queries
• Providing solutions from knowledge base
• Raising service tickets when issues cannot be resolved
• Integrate chatbot features with existing systems and workflows
• Admin Portal Enhancement
• Enhance existing admin portal functionalities to support operations teams
• Design and implement new features to improve workflow management and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and improve usability
• Full SDLC Participation
• Participate in requirements gathering, functional and technical design
• Develop features based on approved specifications
• Conduct unit and functional testing to ensure quality
• Support integration and deployment into existing GPConnect platform
• UI/UX & Solution Design
• Design user-friendly interfaces and workflows based on business requirements
• Collaborate with operations team to ensure solutions meet user needs
• Collaboration & Delivery
• Work closely with developers, operations teams, and stakeholders
• Support issue resolution and system improvements
• Contribute to continuous enhancement of GPConnect

About You

• Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information Engineering & Media, or a related discipline
• Proficient in programming languages and tools such as C#, SQL Server, and Java
• Possess strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Adaptable, proactive and a strong team player
• Exhibit leadership qualities with good verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
