Job summary

Placement Professionals is seeking an Insurance Underwriter to support Motor and Foreign Worker Medical Insurance portfolios. You will handle daily quotation requests and monthly renewal assessments with prompt accuracy.

You will evaluate and underwrite risks per the underwriting guide and internal standards, overseeing the monthly renewal cycle to ensure timely finalisation. A Diploma in any discipline and a minimum of 1 year in the industry are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder in any discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in relevant industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Motor and Foreign Worker Medical Insurance portfolios by handling daily quotation requests.
• Carry out monthly renewal assessments accurately and promptly.
• Evaluate, underwrite, and manage risks per guidelines and compliance standards.
• Oversee the monthly renewal review cycle to finalize renewals within turnaround times.
• Maintain relationships with designated scheme partners, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
• Review discrepancies involving declared No Claim Discount and claims experience; follow up as needed.
• Support product review projects and system/brochure wording updates.
• Collaborate with Head of Department to advance revenue growth and profitability.
