Job summary

Berkley Re Asia in Singapore seeks an Underwriting Operations & Automation Specialist to lead a small business support function within the underwriting team. You will ensure accurate reinsurance data capture, reporting, and workflow efficiency through automation and AI-enabled tools.

This role blends technical insight with stakeholder management, offering visibility across the underwriting process and opportunities to improve systems, data quality, and reporting while mentoring junior team

Qualifications

3–5 years in an insurance/reinsurance environment.
Hands-on use of AI tools in a business context.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data handling.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
Problem-solving mindset focused on process improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead a small business support team within the underwriting process.
Ensure reinsurance records and system information are accurate and well managed.
Collaborate with underwriters and internal teams to maintain workflows.
Use Excel, automation and AI tools to improve reporting and reduce manual effort.
