Job summary

Berkley Re Asia in Singapore is seeking an Underwriting Operations & Automation Specialist to lead the Singapore team, focusing on data quality, process improvement, and AI-enabled tooling. You will manage reinsurance information, collaborate with underwriters and partners, and drive automation to enhance accuracy and efficiency across underwriting processes.

Qualifications

3–5 years’ experience within an insurance and/or reinsurance environment.
Practical experience using AI tools in a business or operational environment.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and complete work efficiently.

Responsibilities

Lead a small business support team that plays a key role in the underwriting process.
Ensure reinsurance records, documentation and system information are accurate, complete and well managed.
Partner with underwriters and internal teams to keep workflows moving and resolve information gaps.
Use Excel, automation and AI tools to improve reporting, reduce manual effort and strengthen process accuracy.
Coordinate team priorities and support effective resource planning across the business support function.
Maintain confident, professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external business partners.
