Job summary

BeeX is seeking an experienced technical writer to craft the end-user manual and training materials for a new underwater vehicle. You will translate complex engineering specs and dive workflows into clear, actionable documentation for operators on customers’ teams.

You will work closely with engineering and operations to ensure accuracy, safety, and easy onboarding, contributing to both in-box documentation and training resources for diverse users.

Qualifications

• Proven experience writing user manuals or instructional guides for physical/hardware products (marine/robotics or consumer electronics preferred).
• Ability to translate technical/engineering input into clear, non-technical language.
• Strong portfolio of similar work to share samples.
• Comfortable interviewing SMEs and working from source material.
• Experience with Word, Google Docs, InDesign, Figma (or equivalents).

Responsibilities

• Create end-user manual (PDF) covering product overview, setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty info.
• Produce Quick Start Guide (1–2 pages) for in-box printing.
• Develop training materials including slide decks and videos for operators and internal teams.
• Prepare Pre-Dive / Post-Dive Safety Checklist and related documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations SMEs to translate specs into clear docs.
