Job summary

OPTIMUM SOLUTIONS (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Digital Product Designer to lead design across the product lifecycle. The role requires driving discovery, problem definition, and execution through wireframes, prototypes, and specifications while collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver impactful product solutions.

You will plan and facilitate user research and usability testing with students and teachers, translating insights into design improvements

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in digital product design.
• Portfolio showing delivery of complex digital products.
• Strong interaction and visual design capabilities, including accessible interfaces.
• Experience owning design for a product area and partnering with PMs and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Drive design from discovery through wireframes, prototypes, specs, implementation and post-launch iteration.
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to define requirements and deliver product solutions.
• Plan and run research sessions and usability testing with students and teachers.

• Collaborate with education tech and curriculum specialists to align content, interaction and interface design.
• Contribute to shared design patterns and standards across teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design process from discovery and problem definition through user flows, wireframes, prototypes, design specifications, implementation, and post-launch iteration.
• Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define requirements, prioritise features, navigate trade-offs, and deliver effective product solutions.
• Plan and facilitate research sessions and usability testing with students and teachers, translating qualitative insights and behavioural data into actionable design improvements.
• Collaborate with education technology and curriculum specialists to ensure that digital experiences effectively support teaching and learning, with careful consideration of the relationship between content, interaction, and interface design.
• Apply and contribute to shared design patterns and standards, collaborating with designers across the Student Mission and other product teams where appropriate.
• Participate in design critiques, provide constructive feedback, and support the development of design practices across the team.
• Incorporate AI tools into the design workflow where they can improve efficiency, exploration, and the quality of design outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in digital product design, with a portfolio demonstrating the successful delivery of complex digital products.
• Strong capabilities in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping, including experience designing accessible and content-rich interfaces.
• Proven experience owning design for a product area and collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing, with the ability to translate findings into actionable design decisions.
