UAT Application Support Engineer - Payments Systems

Job summary

Newbridge seeks an experienced Application Support Engineer to manage the UAT environment for key Payment Systems. You will work with Development, QA and Infra teams to ensure high availability and smooth UAT cycles, taking ownership of deployments and incident handling.

Responsibilities include end-to-end deployment, monitoring Linux/Solaris servers and Oracle DB 19c, and L2/L3 troubleshooting, with runbooks and SOPs to improve MTTR and automation.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in Application Support, UAT Support, or non-production environment management.
• Experience in Banking / Payment Systems domain (SWIFT, MEPS+, FAST, GIRO, PayNow) is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ownership.
• Excellent communication across Dev, QA and Infra.

Responsibilities

• Own UAT environment management and deployment activities.
• Perform end-to-end deployment of application releases, hotfixes and scripts (Shell, SQL, Java).
• Provide L2/L3 incident management, RCA and permanent fixes.
• Analyze Java logs, heap/thread dumps and Oracle AWR for RCA.
• Coordinate with Development, QA, DBA and Infra to resolve issues within SLA.
• Automate tasks for monitoring and recovery; maintain Runbooks and SOPs.
