Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking an UAS Software Engineer in Singapore to join a team developing next-generation Unmanned Aerial Systems for defence applications. You will contribute to mission-critical software used in autonomous flight operations, ground control, and simulation environments.

You will collaborate across disciplines to gather requirements, design robust software, and ensure quality through rigorous testing and reviews. Some overseas travel or deployment may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/engineering/physics/mathematics or equivalent.
• Singapore citizenship is required for this position.
• Proficient in C, C++, C#; Python and JavaScript are advantageous.
• Familiar with Visual Studio and .NET.
• Experience with Git source control.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (Waterfall/Agile).
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willing to travel overseas or undertake long-term overseas deployments.
• Candidates with internships, capstone, research, or project experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define software specifications for UAS.
• Design and develop robust, scalable software for aerospace applications meeting standards.
• Develop real-time embedded, ground control, or simulation applications.
• Perform thorough testing and validation of software components for reliability and safety.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
