Job summary

Evonik Methionine SEA Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced maintenance planner to define work scope, schedule plant turnarounds, and manage SAP work orders in a chemical plant environment.

The role requires 5–10 years in maintenance, engineering background (Mech/E&I), and strong MS Project and cost-awareness skills. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring safety and efficiency in field and office settings.

Qualifications

• Diploma and/or Bachelor in relevant engineering related to trade or discipline (Mech / E&I) or equivalent.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in maintenance field as technicians, supervisors, planners, coordinators or equivalent.
• Know-how in plant maintenance processes and equipment based on trade or discipline (Mech/E&I).
• Experience with SAP, understand commercial basics, and have cost awareness.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and equipment documentation.
• Knowledge about procurement processes and commercial basics.
• Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to analyze situations, make decisions and provide related technical solutions to maintenance challenge.
• Ability to work in cross functional teams.
• Strong knowledge in MS Project.
• Strong communication skills.
• Work environment is a mixture of office and field work in a chemical plant environment.
• Field work includes wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Define work scope details, task sequences & required manpower (internal/external).
• Identify scaffold & insulation requirements, estimate manhours and durations; order parts and prepare tools.
• Manage & control plant turnaround schedule and track progress.
• Schedule maintenance activities and build TAR work schedules with internal and external resources.
• Manage SAP work orders for planning and scheduling; document job plans for repeat use.
• Write, develop, and maintain work packages for turnaround activities and track backlogs.
• Review productivity studies to enhance future planning; implement cost, safety, and quality improvements.
