Job summary

Evonik Methionine SEA Pte. Ltd. seeks a maintenance planner to define scope, sequence and manpower for turnaround projects in a chemical plant environment. You will manage schedules, book parts and tools, and coordinate internal and external resources to minimize downtime.

The role requires 5–10 years in maintenance, engineering knowledge in Mech/E&I, SAP experience, and strong communication. Working on site, you will collaborate with diverse teams and ensure safe, cost‑effective operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor in engineering related to Mech or E&I or equivalent.
• 5–10 years in maintenance roles (technicians, supervisors, planners, coordinators).
• Knowledge of plant maintenance processes and equipment for Mech/E&I.
• Experience with SAP and cost awareness.
• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment documentation.
• Understanding procurement processes and commercial basics.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work in cross‑functional teams and communicate clearly.
• Proficiency with MS Project and related planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Define work scope, task sequences and required manpower; identify scaffold and insulation needs.
• Manage and control plant turnaround schedule; provide activity updates and progress.
• Schedule maintenance activities for TAR using own and external resources to optimize downtime.
• Manage SAP work orders for planning and scheduling; document recurring tasks.
• Write, develop and maintain work packages for turnaround/shutdown activities.
• Analyze and track work order backlogs; ensure follow-up and closure.
• Review productivity studies; implement continuous improvement in cost, safety and quality.
