Job summary

Renowned A1 Building Contractor in Singapore seeks a Tunnel Geologist to join the team and support tunnelling operations with geological insights.

The role requires a geology-related degree and at least 5 years of post-graduate experience in tunnelling or underground construction, with practical knowledge of face mapping and material reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Geology, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant post-graduate experience in tunnelling or underground construction.
• Practical knowledge of geological face mapping and excavated material reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily monitoring, inspection and reconciliation of excavated materials during tunnelling operations.
• Perform geological face mapping and assess ground conditions during tunnelling and intervention activities.
• Support assessments of ground stability and geological conditions prior to intervention works.
• Conduct routine inspection, logging, testing and documentation of excavated materials.
• Prepare the necessary geological records, reports and inspection checklists.
• Work closely with the tunnelling and site teams to provide geological observations relevant to ongoing works.
