Job summary

Hawksford in Singapore seeks a Trust Accountant to support the trust team with accounting and trust administration in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with client onboarding, maintain trust records, prepare financial statements and tax returns, and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in accounting/finance and at least 1 year of trust accounting experience, with fluency in English and Mandarin to liaise with clients.

Qualifications

Diploma or bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in trust accounting or a related industry.
Working knowledge of trust accounting principles and regulations.
Experience with trust accounting software and financial reporting tools is a plus.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and trust with clients.

Responsibilities

Assist with Business Development initiatives.
Work with BD team and Client Services team to onboard new clients in compliance with internal procedures.
Data management activities – including CRM and daily client data trust administration.
Maintain accurate and updated trust records.
Ad-hoc tasks as required by the head of department.
Handle and maintain accurate records of trust account balances and activity.
Monitor trust account transactions and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Assist with preparation of trust account tax returns.
Prepare regular financial statements and reports.
Assist with client trust account setup and maintenance.
Provide accounting support to the department on distributions, payments from and receipts into trusts and underlying companies.
