Job summary

C & W Electronics Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced production operator to set up, operate, and maintain Trumpf laser cutting, punching, and press brake machines according to engineering drawings and specifications.

The role requires reading drawings, programming machine parameters, performing in-process quality checks, and collaborating with design and quality teams to improve yield and safety on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication with reading drawings.
• Hands-on operation of Trumpf CNC laser, punching and press brake.
• Knowledge of materials, tooling, and quality inspection tools.
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings and work orders.
• Detail-oriented with emphasis on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain Trumpf laser cutting, punching, and bending machines per drawings.
• Read drawings and CAD files to determine job requirements and tooling.
• Program machine parameters for optimal output and material utilization.
• Perform in-process quality checks with vernier caliper and micrometer to ensure accuracy.
• Troubleshoot faults and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain records and comply with ISO quality system requirements.
• Follow EHS protocols and use PPE on shop floor.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and maintenance to improve efficiency.
