Job summary

Aurex Group is seeking a Treasury Associate to support trade finance operations and collaboration across Finance, Sales, Operations and Risk. The role focuses on optimizing liquidity, monitoring trade finance costs, and assisting in the development of KPIs and dashboards for performance visibility.

The candidate will work with banks and financial institutions on credit facilities and L/Cs, contributing to efficient working capital management within a complex energy trading environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Energy Markets or a related discipline.
• 6–8 years of experience in Trade Finance & Structuring or comparable functions in banking, energy trading or commodities.
• Practical knowledge of trade finance operations, including Letters of Credit and payment methods; understanding of international trade practices.

Aurex is partnering with an energy firm in search for a Treasury Associate.

Responsibilities

• Partner with banks and financial institutions and support discussions on financing terms, credit facilities, and other trade finance requirements.
• Support the execution of trade finance activities related to global trading transactions, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and other trade finance instruments.
• Support Trading and the Liquidity & Working Capital Team in identifying optimization opportunities across operational activities and financial instruments.
• Manage collateral activities together with Risk Management across exchanges and bilateral agreements and support the optimization of liquidity and funding costs.
• Calculate and monitor trade finance and financing costs and communicate estimated and final costs to relevant internal teams.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures to improve visibility and performance tracking across the business.
• Support and participate in automation and digitalization initiatives to increase efficiency, transparency, and scalability within the Trade Finance and Structuring Team.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Trading, Operations, Treasury Risk & Operations, Corporate Finance & Creditor Relations, Risk, Accounting, and IT teams, supporting financial activities, cash flow optimization and working capital efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Energy Markets or a related discipline with minimum 6-8 years of experience in Trade Finance & Structuring, or comparable functions within banking, energy trading, commodities, or similarly complex environments.
• Good understanding of trading lifecycles, credit facility agreements, bank relationships, commodity exchanges and collateral management, liquidity drivers, and working capital structures within commercial businesses.
• Practical knowledge of trade finance operations, including Letters of Credit (L/Cs) and various payment methods combined with good understanding of international trade practices and trade finance processes.
