Job summary

Persol Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Transplant Coordinator with a nursing background to manage the kidney transplant referral and patient pathway in the West region.

The role involves coordinating live and deceased donor cases, counselling donors and recipients, and working closely with MOH officials and hospitals. The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with ≥5 years of experience, capable of independent work, and willing to be on-call.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with ≥5 years of experience; ICU/OT is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant healthcare experience.
• Able to work independently and under pressure; willing to be scheduled for on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Attend to and evaluate referrals by renal physicians for live and deceased donor transplant from hospitals.
• Assist potential donors and recipients in the entire kidney transplant process.
• Provide counselling and conduct transplant workups for potential donors and recipients.
• Maintain close connections with all stakeholders and MOH officials pertaining to organ donation and transplantation.
• Assess patients’ suitability and schedule laboratory investigations and clinic reviews.
• Evaluate and prepare patients for deceased donor kidney transplants when selected.
• Attend ward rounds and clinic sessions and schedule investigations per the kidney transplant protocol.
• Provide discharge teaching and assist in post-transplant follow-up care.

Our established client in the public healthcare sector (West region) is seeking to hire a Transplant Coordinator (suitable for nursing background candidates)!

• 5 days office hours

Responsibilities:

• Attend to and evaluate referrals by renal physicians for live and deceased donor transplant from hospitals
• Assist potential donors and recipients in the entire kidney transplant process
• Providing counselling and conducting transplant workup for potential donors and recipients
• Maintain close connections with all stakeholders and MOH officials pertaining to organ donation and transplantation
• Assess patients’ suitability regularly to maintain suitable patients on the Kidney Transplant Waiting list, which involves scheduling laboratory investigations; tracing and arranging clinic reviews
• Evaluate and prepare a patient for deceased donor kidney transplant when he/ she has been selected for it
• Attend ward rounds and clinic sessions where discussion regarding patients’ progress are held and assist in scheduling of investigations reflected in the kidney transplant protocol
• Provide discharge teaching to newly transplanted patients and assist in the follow-up care of complex post-kidney transplant patients

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years working experience preferred (post-basic qualifications in ICU nursing or OT would be an advantage)
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Able to work independently and well under pressure
• Willing to be scheduled for on-call duties
• Basic computer proficiency is essential
