Job summary

SERI, the research arm of SNEC, invites applications for a Senior Research Officer / Research Associate to support translational research in fibrovascular complications. The role focuses on planning, organizing, and conducting studies for a project on drug delivery and evaluation of therapeutics using disease models.

You will work within the Laboratory of Translational Research in Fibrovascular Complications, under supervision of the Principal Investigator, performing animal and cell culture

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s with 2+ years’ relevant lab experience.
• Proficient in molecular and cellular biology techniques.
• Experience in tissue histology, sectioning, and immunostaining.
• Experience with animal experiments, confocal microscopy, or fluorescence imaging is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork and motivation to contribute in a collaborative lab.

Responsibilities

• Conduct animal, cell culture, biochemistry and molecular biology research.
• Write and review research papers, present outcomes, conceptualise new ideas and develop plans for independent research which could have a considerable influence and impact on the relevant field attracting research funding.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to undergraduate / medical students and research assistants.
• Maintain optimal experiment progress in the laboratory or in the research work undertaken.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.
