Job summary

Mandai Wildlife Group, through Mandai Nature, is seeking a highly qualified researcher to advance biodiversity protection through lab-based investigations in Singapore. The role involves hands-on work with wildlife-derived tissues and cells, including culture, cryopreservation, molecular assays and imaging, contributing to conservation science and reporting.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Biological Sciences or related field.
• Doctoral training with substantial lab research experience.
• Experience with stem-cell methods or biobanking is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with cell culture and molecular biology.
• Ability to interpret complex experimental data and write scientific reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute experiments within assigned work packages including cell culture, cryopreservation, molecular biology and imaging.
• Develop hypotheses and experimental plans; troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and metadata for samples and experiments.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and interns on methods and data handling.
• Ensure compliance with biosafety, ethics and SOPs; document deviations and troubleshoot.
