Job summary

Eastspring Investments is seeking a seasoned Middle Office professional to strengthen regulatory reporting for EMIR and MAS. You will lead data validation, manage outsourced providers, and drive process improvements within a high‑discipline operations team in Singapore.

The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years in asset management operations, strong communication, and proven leadership, with proficiency in handling derivatives and regulatory reporting programs.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in Middle Office/Operations in asset management.
• Degree in Business/Finance or related field.
• Strong understanding of asset management operations, esp. derivatives/regulatory reporting.
• Experience using Aladdin preferred.
• Experience managing outsourced service providers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to document processes and engage stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience managing a team.
• Attention to detail and proactive risk management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative team player and strategic partner to internal/external counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily 3-way data validation on EMIR and MAS reporting submissions.
• Coordinate with outsourced service providers to investigate and resolve rejections promptly.
• Lead issue resolution with stakeholders including internal teams, providers, custodians, and brokers.
• Support transition activities, new instruments/markets, and ad hoc projects.
• Serve as subject matter expert for trade regulatory reporting projects.
• Manage incidents and ensure proper resolution.
• Stay updated on market developments and drive process improvements in Transaction Operations.
• Strengthen risk controls with leadership to ensure a robust environment.
• Recommend workflow and system improvements through automation and new technologies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

This role has several key responsibilities:

• Perform daily 3 ways data validation on EMIR and MAS reporting submission
• Work with outsourced service provider to investigate and resolve rejected submission in a timely manner
• Independently manage and resolve issues and escalations by stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, outsourced service provider, custodians and brokers
• Support new transition activities, new instruments/ markets and other ad hoc projects as required
• Act as subject matter expert in the trade regulatory reporting space for any projects/ new processes that rely upon or affect new product development
• Incident management
• Keep abreast of market updates and drive process changes within Transaction Operations Team
• Proactive management of risks and controls. Work closely with Transaction Operations lead to ensure an effective control environment robust
• Continual review and improvement in workflows, systems and processes through automation, innovation and adoption of new technologies

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 5-7 years of experience working in Middle Office/ Operations in the Asset Management industry.
• Degree in Business/Finance or related disciplines
• Strong understanding of asset management operations, particularly in the derivatives/ regulatory reporting space
• Experience in using Aladdin preferred
• Prior experience in managing outsourced service provider
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill to document process, communicate with stakeholders and share best practices
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong attention to detail
