Job summary

Thong Kheng Welfare Services Society in Singapore seeks a Training Assistant Aide to support adults with disabilities in daily living, community skills, and pre-vocational activities. Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC qualification is required.
• Certificate or training in disability care or related field is an advantage.
• Experience in social services, healthcare or disability sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Trains and assists adults with disabilities in ADLs, CLS, and pre-vocational skills.
• Attends to clients’ personal needs and ensures safety and well-being.
• Completes and submits required documentation accurately and timely.
• Supports implementation of individual care plans with the team.
• Plans activities in classroom and at events and celebrations.
• Liaises with caregivers on progress and attends caregiver meetings.
• Maintains cleanliness and conducive learning environment.
• Assists daily activities, outings and community programmes.
• Supports clients in self-care, grooming and toileting when required.
• Performs other duties or projects as assigned.

Job description

Training Assistant Aide

Salary: S$2,000 – S$2,900
Working Location: Upper Thomson

Core Responsibilities

1. Trains and assists adults with disabilities in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Community Living Skills (CLS), and pre-vocational skills.
2. Attends to clients’ personal needs and ensures their safety and well-being.
3. Completes and submits required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Works with the team to support the implementation of individual care plans for clients.
5. Plans and assists in programme activities in the classroom, as well as festive celebrations and events.
6. Liaises with and updates caregivers on clients’ progress and well-being, including participation in caregiver meetings.
7. Maintains cleanliness, orderliness and a conducive learning environment in the classroom.
8. Assists with clients’ daily activities, outings and community programmes.
9. Provides support to clients in areas such as self-care, grooming and toileting, where required.
10. Performs any other duties or projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education

• Minimum NITEC qualification.
• Certificate or training in disability care, healthcare, social services or a related field will be an advantage.

Experience

• Experience in the social service, healthcare or disability sector will be an advantage.
• Candidates without relevant experience may also be considered, with training provided.
