Job summary

SUN-DAC is seeking a Training Officer to provide daily training, care, and services for clients with disabilities. The role focuses on ADLs and CLSs, personal care, and safety within a classroom setting.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor individual care plans and plan engaging programme activities, including festive events, while ensuring timely documentation and caregiver communication.

Qualifications

• Experience working with adults with disabilities or in care settings preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Trains and assists adults with disabilities in activities of daily living (ADLs) and community living skills (CLSs).
• Attends to personal needs and ensures safety and well-being of clients.
• Completes and submits required documentation in a timely manner.
• Works with a multi-disciplinary team to create individual care plans for clients.
• Plans and implements programme activities in classroom and for celebrations.
• Communicates progress with caregivers and conducts caregiver meetings biannually.
• Maintains classroom cleanliness and smooth workflow.
• Executes other projects/duties as assigned.

Core Function:

The Training Officer will be responsible for the daily training, care and services provide for SUN-DAC's clients.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Trains and assists adults with disabilities in ADLs (activities of daily living) and CLSs (community living skills and pre-vocational skills).
2. Attends to the personal needs of these adults and ensure their safety and well-being.
3. Completes and submits required documentation in a timely manner.
4. Works with a multi-disciplinary team to provide an individual care plan for each client.
5. Plans and proposes Programme Activity in the classroom as well as festive celebrations.
6. Liaises with and updates caregivers on the progress and status of clients, including conducting biannual Caregiver Staff Meeting.
7. Maintains organisational cleanliness and flow in a classroom setting.
8. Any other projects/duties as assigned.
