Job summary

Gates PCM Construction Ltd in Singapore is seeking an operator to safely run the Engineering Consist (EC) on tracks, collaborating with the Shunter.

You will perform duties at depots, mainline tunnels or viaducts, coordinate EC/PV movements, assist in training new Operators and help set trackside point machines. The role is on-site with shift work and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NTC 2/3 or GCE O‑Level equivalent qualifications.
• Preference for prior railway or construction safety experience.
• Able to work rotating 8‑hour shifts with overtime.

• Operate and direct EC/PV movements safely per Works Train Manual.
• Assist Works Train Controller in shunting EC/PV within the Defined Area.
• Set and secure point machines (trackside equipment).

• Operate and direct the movement of the EC/PV safely in accordance with the Works Train Manual.
• Assist the Works Train Controller in shunting of the EC/PV within the Defined Area.
• Set and secure point machines (trackside equipment).
• Assist in on-the-job training of new Operators.

Requirements

• Minimum NTC 2/3, GCE O-Level or equivalent qualification.
• Preferably prior working experience in a railway environment or general construction safety.
• Able to work any of the three rotating 8-hour shifts and regular overtime.
