Job summary

IoTalents Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Trading Platform Application Engineer to support project delivery, enhancements, production support, and integration for electronic trading platforms.

You will work with vendor-based platforms supporting price discovery, trade execution, post-trade processing, and integration with brokers, trading venues, external counterparties, and internal applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on software development and application support experience.
• Hands-on experience with FIX Protocol is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in Java development for enterprise applications.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with shell scripting such as Bash, Korn Shell, Python, or equivalent.
• Experience developing and supporting high-throughput, distributed, scalable, and resilient applications.
• Strong understanding of application performance tuning and optimization.
• Proven experience troubleshooting production issues and conducting root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, and application release management.
• Experience with application monitoring and environment management.

Responsibilities

Trading & Financial Markets Experience

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are preferred:

• Fixed Income
• Equities
• Capital Markets
• Investment Banking

Experience with FIX 4.x / FIX 5.x, FIX engines, gateways, or electronic trading connectivity is highly relevant.

Candidates should also have experience with external connectivity and onboarding involving brokers, exchanges, trading venues, or other counterparties, as well as an understanding of trade execution, trade lifecycle, and post-trade workflows.

Additional Technical Skills

Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:

• Kafka, AMQ, MQ, or other messaging technologies
