Polynomial Partners is a recently established global quantitative hedge fund manager specializing in algorithmic trading strategies across global financial markets. Headquartered in Singapore and operating from the US, UK, and Hong Kong, the firm implements multiple systematic strategies created with robust quantitative research methods developed by the founding investment team over decades of prior work experience.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled trading and operations engineer to work at the intersection of trading, operations, and technology. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining existing systems that ensure trade capture, market pricing, real time P&L, exception handling, and post-trade processing across a global portfolio of equities and equity derivatives. You will work closely with portfolio managers, traders, other members of the Finance & Operations team, and technologists at the company to bridge the front office to the back and ensure maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trade Workflow Management: Oversee trade lifecycle processes, including trade creation, order routing, broker connections and configurations, SOD and EOD processes, integrations with middleware and third-parties, intra-day P&L and position maintenance, and post-trade reporting.
  • Trading and Ops Technology: Point person for monitoring of internal and third-party systems, managing development asks and project queues, hands on build of efficiency tools (using Python, VBA, SQL) to reconcile trades and positions, resolve breaks, and ensure accurate position, P&L, and risk metrics.
  • Data Management: Oversee codependence of internal and external data including position, market pricing, risk data, or other variables and troubleshoot exceptions at very high pace

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of financial markets, trading operations, risk management, and compliance. Solid understanding of equity market micro-structure, operational and regulatory considerations is required.
  • Relevant Exposures: Bloomberg (terminal, BPIPE, Data License), OMS/PMS (e.g. Geneva, FlexTrade, Eze, Orchestrade, Arcesium), Python, PostgreSQL, Refinitiv, Barra, FIX, Security Master
  • Personal Fit: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English. Independent, intellectually curious problem-solver. Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Flexible attitude regarding the ad hoc demands of a new firm.
