Job summary

A consulting firm in Singapore is seeking a Trade Operations Executive with experience in the energy or commodities sector. The ideal candidate possesses a diploma and is fluent in both Chinese and English to communicate with counterparties. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, managing logistics operations, and ensuring effective stakeholder communication. Immediate availability is preferable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and negotiate terms for Sales & Purchase Contracts.
• Liaise with various stakeholders including suppliers and bankers.
• Monitor and manage logistics for oil loading/discharging operations.
• Manage and recover demurrage and oil loss claims.
• Knowledge of trade finance (ILC, TR, freight loan, ELC) is advantageous.

About the job Trade Operations Executive

About Our Client:

Our client headquartered in Singapore, is the overseas procurement arm for our groups refinery, Dongying Yatong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. Each of our 2 refineries comes with a 5 million tons per year crude oil refining capacity, with a comprehensive processing capacity of 10 million tons per year. As the overseas procurement arm, Petro-win source crude worldwide from oil majors and national oil companies/producers. Over the years, we have built up good relationships with these oil majors and producers where partnerships were forged and trust were built. Crude purchases were made where we arranged the logistics to transport the cargo to our refineries or it is delivered to our refineries. All these purchases were made by structure financing via international first class financial institutions. Along with logistics, related services such as marine cargo insurance, lost control and risk management were executed.

• Prepare and negotiate the terms & conditions for Sales & Purchase Contract
• Liaise with suppliers, buyers, surveyors, bankers, ship owners/brokers, ship/cargo agents and insurance broker
• Monitoring and manage operations functions such as logistic (liaising with terminals, vessel operator, cargo surveyors, agents and customers on oil loading/discharging operations)
• Pro-active management and recovery of demurrage, oil loss and insurance claims
• Knowledge on trade finance transactions (ILC, TR, freight loan, ELC discounting) will be an advantage

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma
• Required Language(s): Chinese and English
• Able to correspond with Chinese counterparties/banks
• Willing and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Mature, independent, self-motivated and a team player
• At least 2 years trade operations working experiences in energy and/or commodities Industry
• Preferable can start work immediately/short notice
