Job summary

Saitech International Pte Ltd seeks a Trade Finance Executive in Singapore to manage Letters of Credit, export documentation, and related trade finance operations. The role requires a solid background in commodities trading, strong compliance with UCP600 and Incoterms, and excellent communication skills.

You will coordinate with banks, buyers, and suppliers to ensure accurate LC processing, MIS maintenance, and timely document submission.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field is required.
  • 5–6 years of experience in a similar role within the commodities trading industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, UCP600, and incoterms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in document processing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Handle Letters of Credit: review and process LCs; verify documents; arrange amendments with banks and stakeholders.
  • Prepare export documents in compliance with LCs and contracts; ensure timely submission.
  • Manage freight loans and related documentation with financial institutions.
  • Handle trust receipt transactions to maintain compliance.
  • Verify export/import LCs for accuracy and contractual adherence.
  • Negotiate shipping documents with banks.
  • Maintain MIS records of LC transactions.
  • Coordinate with buyers and suppliers to ensure smooth LC processing and resolve issues.
  • Undertake other trade finance tasks as assigned by Management.

Job description

Our client is a well known company trading in steel. coal, energy raw materials, agricultural commodities, etc. They have an immediate requirement for a Trade Finance Executive

Responsibilities
  • Handling Letters of Credit:
    Review and process Letters of Credit, ensuring compliance with all relevant terms.
    Verify and validate accuracy of documents required for Letters of Credit transactions.
    Facilitate any necessary amendments to Letters of Credit in collaboration with banks and relevant stakeholders.
  • Preparation of Export Documents:
    Prepare and submit accurate export documents in adherence to Letters of Credit and contract terms.
    Ensure all documents are complete, accurate, and submitted within specified timelines.
  • Freight Loan Management:
    Administer and manage freight loans, including the processing of relevant documentation and communication with financial institutions.
  • Trust Receipts:
    Handle trust receipt transactions, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Export and Import Letters of Credit Verification:
    Verify export and import Letters of Credit to confirm accuracy and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Negotiation of Shipping Documents:
    Liaise with banks for the negotiation of shipping documents.
  • Maintenance of MIS:
    Maintain accurate records of Letters of Credit- related transactions.
  • Coordination with Buyers and Suppliers:
    Collaborate with buyers and suppliers to ensure smooth processing of Letters of Credit and resolve any related issues.
  • Additional Duties:
    Undertake any other trade finance- related tasks and projects assigned by Management.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in a similar role within the commodities trading industry
  • In- depth knowledge of international trade regulations, UCP600, and incoterms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail- oriented with a high degree of accuracy in document processing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work week : Mon-Fri
Salary : Upto 8K SGD pm (open for discussions). Candidates with much more experience can be considered for Managerial roles.
