Job summary

Maybank Singapore is seeking a Trade Finance professional to provide end-to-end support for import-export activities across Commercial Banking and Structured/Commodities segments.

The role involves collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure timely processing, risk control, and compliance with regulatory and internal policies. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of trade finance experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking or related field.
• Familiarity with import-export products and trade finance documentation.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance instruments and regulatory requirements.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process import-export trade finance products including LC, UPAS LC, collection, and Open Account Financing.
• Manage a portfolio of clients with accurate and timely processing of import-export transactions.
• Assist remedial management on NPL including coordination and documentation.
• Advise clients on financing solutions, loan structuring, and repayment plans.
• Monitor expiring loans and upcoming due payments to ensure timely acceptance and settlement.
• Assess customer loan eligibility and respond to inquiries efficiently.
• Perform transaction checks on Trade Registry system for TFR-threshold transactions.
• Support and process trade finance products in Structured and Commodities segments (LC, UPAS LC, collection, Open Account Financing, risk participation, FI Trade Loan).
• Coordinate with Middle Office to execute commodity trade finance deals within policy guidelines.
• Verify funds availability for incoming/outgoing transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Track and monitor outstanding bills to ensure follow-up and payment.
• Conduct AML transaction screening and escalate suspicious activities.
• Conduct Lloyds Vessel movement screening to verify shipments and sanction ports.
• Conduct IMB checks to verify genuineness of Bills of Lading.
• Perform checks on Trade Registry system for TFR-reportable transactions.
