Job summary

CAPITAL CRANES GLOBAL PTE. LTD. is seeking an on-site Tower Crane Planner to coordinate crane operations on construction sites in Singapore.

You will assess project needs, select crane models, and ensure safe erection, jacking, and dismantling in collaboration with engineers and site teams. The role requires hands-on experience, strong AutoCAD skills, the ability to read architectural and structural drawings, and good communication in English.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings.
• Proficient in English for site coordination and communication with stakeholders.
• Able to work independently on construction sites and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural, structural, and construction drawings to inform crane planning.
• Use AutoCAD to create and modify tower crane layouts and site plans for optimal crane placement.
• Select crane models, capacities, jib lengths, configurations, and locations based on project requirements.
• Evaluate crane coverage, lifting needs, site access, and constraints to optimize crane operations.
• Develop comprehensive plans for crane erection, operation, and dismantling phases.
• Coordinate with Structural Engineers to design tower crane foundations and tie-backs.
• Liaise with main contractors and site teams to align schedules, site access, and readiness for crane activities.
• Coordinate and provide instructions to Operations/Erection teams with clear instructions for crane erection, jacking, and dismantling.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans and safety standards.

Job Summary

You will plan and coordinate tower crane operations for construction projects, managing crane selection, site positioning, erection, jacking, and dismantling. Collaborate with engineers and site teams to ensure safe, efficient crane deployment and operation.

Required competencies and certifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD for preparing and modifying technical drawings and layouts
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings accurately
• Proficient in English language to communicate effectively with site teams and stakeholders
• Able to work independently to manage tasks and solve problems on site
• Possess relevant Singapore construction-site Safety Certificate(s) to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Valid driving license
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on construction-site experience to effectively manage site operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent, preferably in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Construction, or Engineering fields
• Experience with tower crane or lifting operations is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong technical, spatial, planning, and coordination skills to manage complex site logistics
• Good understanding of construction sequencing and site operations to support project flow
