Job summary

GIC is seeking an AVP/VP, Total Portfolio Data Business Analyst to join Global Investment Services in Singapore. You will own end-to-end data operations for the Total Portfolio domain and drive data quality, governance, and operational excellence across investment platforms.

You will partner with Risk Analysts, Front Office, Quant Strategists and other stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions, leveraging SQL, Tableau, and modern data tools.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with 5–8 years of working experience, including 3+ years in total portfolio data management, data analysis, analytics or visualisation within investment or banking.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, controls, data modelling, and data integration.
• Experience with SDLC and/or agile methodologies; AI experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data management operations within the Total Portfolio domain, including monitoring, analysis, investigation, and resolution of day-to-day issues; provide advisory support to stakeholders.
• Design, implement, and oversee data quality frameworks with defined metrics and ongoing monitoring.
• Improve data operations using metrics like SLAs, delivery quality, and customer satisfaction; embed data management into workflows.
• Identify operating model and process improvements to reduce risk and strengthen governance and controls.
• Manage relationships with internal and external data providers and vendors.
• Partner with business users to understand investment use cases and translate requirements into data solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Technology to implement solutions using best-of-breed tools; review designs for governance alignment.
• Participate in enterprise data initiatives and platforms supporting Total Portfolio data delivery (IBOR, exposures, analytics).
• Plan, develop, and execute UAT; document functional requirements; coach junior team members.
