Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Daily people management and operations efficiency of the toolroom.
• Oversee tool maintenance, repairs, and external vendor support to ensure production reliability.
• Ensure safety, inventory control, and implement improvements.
• Lead and train toolroom technicians, manage schedules, and set priorities.
• Coordinate tooling support for production; assist with customer drawings/3D printing as needed.

Toolroom Lead (1-Year Contract)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm

Work Schedule: 5-Day Workweek

Working Area: Yishun, Singapore

Employment Type: 1-Year Contract

Job Summary

The Toolroom Lead is responsible for the daily management of toolroom operations, leading toolroom technicians, overseeing mold maintenance and repairs, coordinating tooling support for production, and ensuring operational efficiency, equipment reliability, workplace safety, and inventory control.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for daily people management, operations efficiency of a toolroom, overseeing technicians, tool maintenance, repairs, and supplier’s repair or fabrication, to ensure production efficiency and equipment reliability.

Responsible for safety, inventory control, and implementing improvements.

Key skills include, but are not limited to, CAD, and mold repair knowledge.

Leadership: Guide, train, and supervise toolroom technicians, manage schedules, and set daily priorities

Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee handling, troubleshooting, repairing, and improvement of tools and molds

Operational Efficiency: Implement preventive and predictive maintenance, drive productivity improvements, and manage tool life.

Inventory & Safety: Ensure adequate & proper storage, issuance, and maintenance of tools; adhere to safety standards

Coordination: Coordinate tooling support for production and manage, if needed, external vendor services

Support roles (customer drawing, customer 3D & 3D product printing, etc).

Any other ad-hoc duties when assigned

Qualifications

NTC Grade 2 / NITEC equivalent or higher qualification.

Experience

Min 3-5 Several years of experience in managing toolroom, requiring a background in Mold Design, Toolroom machining for mold making & manufacturing environment.

Skills & Requirements

Microsoft Office

Technical Skills: Proficiency in 2D&3D CAD.

Safety knowledge would be an added advantage

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, troubleshooting abilities, and communication skills.
