The role involves creating tile beds, polishing stone surfaces, and working with other trades, including ordering materials as needed. This position is on site in Singapore and requires hands-on installation work.

Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces: Tilers clean, level, and waterproof surfaces, and remove old grout and cement
• Cutting and shaping tiles: Tilers use hand and power tools to cut tiles to fit around obstacles and into tight spaces
• Creating tile beds: Tilers use tools like screeds, brushes, and trowels to form tile beds using concrete, plaster, cement, glue, or mortar
• Laying and grouting tiles: Tilers lay and grout tiles evenly and cleanly
• Installing tiles: Tilers tap tiles into place using tools to adhere them to the base
• Polishing and surfacing: Tilers polish and surface granite and marble
• Creating designs: Tilers create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles
• Working with other tradespeople: Tilers work with other tradespeople and consult with project managers and clients
