Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Cybersecurity Intelligence Senior Associate to join the Intelligence Operations Team. This role focuses on malware analysis, threat hunting, and building innovative security capabilities while mentoring by senior staff.

You will work on analyzing malware, developing detections, and expanding monitoring across global organizations, leveraging enterprise AI tools under strict data handling standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 2+ years in cybersecurity intelligence or security research focusing on malware analysis.
• Ability to review AI-assisted findings with strong validation and data handling awareness.
• Basic scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization (VMware).
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, OSINT, IDA Pro, Ghidra, BinaryNinja, Wireshark, Jupyter, SQL, YARA, AWS Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced malware analysis and reverse engineering of suspicious code.
• Develop malware detection signatures and automate analysis workflows.
• Research threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits to enhance monitoring.
• Collaborate with Incident Response teams for technical analysis.
• Document findings in technical analysis reports.
• Communicate with business, tech experts, and vendors.
• Assist peers in producing intelligence reports and insights.
• Contribute cybersecurity perspectives to global infrastructure discussions.
• Use AI capabilities to accelerate threat research and risk assessments.
