Job summary

HRNET VENTURES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced tester to conduct performance testing and reliability verification of R&D prototypes, including optical and environmental tests.

You will develop test plans and environments for semiconductor and optical equipment, calibrate die test systems, and analyze data to drive improvements while documenting results and creating automation scripts. Travel to China may be required for initial training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Optoelectronic Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Measurement and Control Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and verification of optical components or semiconductor equipment.
• Experience in developing or implementing automated test systems is an advantage.
• Familiar with optical communication testing instruments and test data analysis methods.
• Willing to travel to China for training during the initial employment period, if required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct performance testing and reliability verification of R&D prototypes, including optical, electrical, motion accuracy and environmental testing.
• Develop test plans, test cases and test environments for semiconductor and optical testing equipment.
• Perform testing and calibration of OE die test equipment, including coupling accuracy, test repeatability, bit error rate and test efficiency.
• Analyse test data, identify performance issues and design defects, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare test reports, technical documentation and corrective action records.
• Develop product testing specifications, standards and automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams on prototype validation and performance optimisation.
• Support the Malaysia manufacturing team in establishing mass production testing procedures, specifications and SOPs.

Job Requirements

• Able to independently develop test plans, test cases and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of Python or MATLAB scripting is advantageous.
• Experience in silicon photonic chip or optical module testing is preferred.
• Familiarity with CPO/OE die testing parameters and industry standards is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and technical documentation abilities.
• Good written and spoken English, with the ability to understand technical documentation.
• Willing to travel to China for training during the initial employment period, if required.
