Job summary

Dell Technologies in Singapore is seeking a Test Engineer 2 to contribute to the validation of our hardware and software products. You will join the Test Engineering Team responsible for developing test cases, documenting test plans, and supporting the testing process end to end.

In this role you will collaborate with designers and technologists, execute test plans, manage test execution, and help advance test automation to improve efficiency and coverage across projects.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Good understanding of hardware and software system architecture and interactions, able to apply it to resolve issues.
• Enthusiastic about learning new tools, languages and operating systems.
• Proficient in reading and understanding technical data sheets.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop risk management plans based on all information available to determine technical and logistical risk to completing test activities as planned.
• Manage daily execution of test plan including guidance of technicians internally and/or third- party test facility.
• Report test execution progress and issues to the engineering team, and manage the issues from creation to closure.
• Work with Development to resolve product issues discovered during test.
• Execute test automation scripts, identify opportunities for increased use of test automation.
