Job summary

XCELLINK PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior software test engineer to lead end-to-end testing for integrated e-payment systems in Singapore. You will drive test planning, design, execution, and reporting while building automated tests and maintaining environments.

With 5+ years in software testing across device-based and backend systems, you will ensure coverage, collaborate with stakeholders, and improve test processes. A DevSecOps minded approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years in software testing and test automation for device-based and backend systems.
• SDLC knowledge from requirements to deployment.
• 3+ years testing on Windows platforms.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, embedded systems, or cloud testing is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Professional certification in software testing preferred.
• Experience with micropayment or AFC systems is advantageous.
• Experience across SIT, UAT, and Performance Testing.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities for integrated e-payment systems.
• Participate in the full testing lifecycle, including test planning, requirements analysis, test design, execution, and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain test environments, develop test cases, and execute functional, integration, user acceptance, and performance testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using scripting or programming languages.
• Establish requirements traceability, identify testing gaps, and implement improvements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct test reviews and communicate testing outcomes.
• Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance issues, and implement corrective actions to improve testing effectiveness.
• Prepare and maintain test automation documentation, including design specifications and user guides.
• Implement and support automated testing pipelines within DevSecOps environments, integrating functional, performance, and basic security testing throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing and test automation involving device-based (UI or embedded) and/or backend systems.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, development, testing, and deployment.
• At least 3 years of testing experience on Windows platforms.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, embedded systems, or cloud-based testing environments is advantageous.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Professional certification in software testing is preferred.
• Experience with micropayment or Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems using smart card technologies is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience across System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Performance Testing is preferred.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps tools such as Jira, Confluence, Xray, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms will be an advantage.
• Experience in API security testing, microservices testing, and security validation is an added advantage.
