Job summary

Equiptest Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a laboratory technician to perform mechanical, thermal, and RF testing on test sockets, fixtures, and media. You will operate advanced analytical instruments, design test fixtures, and prepare detailed test reports.

You will work with vendors and clients to meet testing requirements, maintain equipment, and ensure ISO-compliant protocols. The role demands good data analysis, technical writing, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced lab

Qualifications

• ITE/diploma in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Precision Eng.)
• 1–2 years in relevant semiconductor-related lab testing
• Experience with laboratory testing & semiconductor environments is advantageous
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistics
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical, thermal, and RF testing on test sockets, contact media, jig & fixture.
• Operate and interpret data from advanced analytical instruments (e.g., FDR, MPT, Cycling & RF machines).
• Set up or design test fixtures and prepare test reports; review standards and specs.
• Collaborate with vendors and departments to resolve testing issues.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure project execution.
• Maintain test reports, records, facilities and equipment; validate new methods and equipment.
• Develop and implement ISO-aligned testing protocols; ensure calibration of equipment.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations summarizing results and trends.
• Maintain safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance; perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mechanical (force, resistance, life cycle, etc.), thermal, and RF testing on test socket, contact media, jig & fixture.

• Operate and interpret data from advanced analytical instruments e.g., FDR, MPT, Cycling & RF Machine.

• Set-up or design test fixtures for customized test procedures. Analytical procedures & data, review test standards and specifications and prepare test reports.

• Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirements.

• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects.

• Oversee and upkeep of test reports, test records, test facilities and laboratory equipment. Assist in validating and verifying new testing methods and equipment.

• Develop and implement testing protocols in accordance with ISO, and industry standards. Ensure laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance for reliable and accurate test results.

• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations summarizing test results, trends, and material performance insights. Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines efficiently.

• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

• Ad-hoc duties, perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min ITE/ Diploma in any Engineering Disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Precision Engineering, etc.)

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in Semiconductor. Experience in laboratory testing & semiconductor is advantageous.

• Basic MS Office proficiency, SolidWorks & RF knowledge is a plus.

• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical interpretation, and laboratory software.

• Excellent technical writing and communication skills for reporting and collaboration.

• Result and service-oriented individuals who possess initiative and good communication skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. ability to work independently in challenging projects, problem-solving skills and timelines.

• Enthusiastic, resourceful, and responsible with a “can-do” attitude.
