Job summary

A construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage tender documents and evaluations. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Survey or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing tender inquiries, verifying claims, and ensuring proper documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with M&E system requirements are essential. This role requires an individual who can work independently and under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years working experience in Singapore is required.
  • Certain knowledge & experience in M&E system requirement.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
  • Able to work independent with min supervision.
  • Good knowledge and skill set in Microsoft Office.
  • Quick learner and willing to explore to new skill sets/technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Keep track of tender documents and drawings based on the document control process.
  • Verify tender drawing/detail and prepare the tender enquiry.
  • Assist in calling for quotations and selecting subcontractors/vendors.
  • Perform quantity take-off for tender projects.
  • Assist with tender evaluation and document preparation for submission.
  • Ensure all documents are properly filed and compiled.
  • Able to read M&E drawings.
  • Conduct site verifications of variations for claims submissions.
  • Assist project manager in evaluating and certifying completed work.
  • Verify sub-contractor's claims.
  • Prepare and monitor progress of claims submissions and payments.
  • Monitor orders in execution and report on balance amounts.
