Job summary

STRAITS CONSTRUCTION SINGAPORE PRIVATE LIMITED is recruiting a Tendering/Quantity Surveying professional to support Singapore-based construction tendering activities. You will help prepare prices, analyze quotations, and ensure timely submissions.

The role requires a Degree/Diploma in QS/Building, at least 2 years' experience in Singapore's building sector (main contractor preferred), strong Excel skills, and familiarity with tendering processes; Cubicost Glodon experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in Singapore building construction with main contractor preferred.
• Experience in tendering work and cost analysis.
• Sound computer literacy including advanced Excel; Cubicost Glodon an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Understand tender document requirements and define scope of works.
• Collaborate on planning and extend of works; manage timelines.
• Oversee tender activities and ensure timely delivery.
• Measure quantities, collect quotations, perform cost comparisons, and prepare tender prices.
• Review quotations against specifications and quantities.
• Proofread tender responses and coordinate issuance to stakeholders.
• Negotiate prices with subcontractors/partners.
• Assess cost impacts including value engineering and variations.

Job Responsibilties:

• Understanding the requirement of tender document
• Exercise collaborative plan and define extend of works
• Understanding and achieve within timelines
• Timely management of tender activities
• General duty include measurement of quantity, collect quotation, cost comparison and participate in prepare tender price
• Review of quotations with the specification designed
• Review of the quantity from each buddies, cross check for possible item that may have overlook
• Proof reading of tender responses to highlight areas for incorporation of quantity and ensure issuance to stake holders to quote for works
• Negotiate price with Subcontractor/partnership
• Review of cost impact (Value Engineering proposal/ Variations)

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in Singapore building construction industry with the Main contractor preferred
• Experience in tendering work
• Sound computer literacy including advanced skills in Excel. Proficient in Cubicost Glodon will be a plus.
