Job summary

ZAL CAPITAL PTE. LTD. seeks a Technology Intern (6-9 months) to support the investment team by developing IT systems, integrating data sources, and automating workflows using Power Automate and AI tools like Claude to enhance data processing and portfolio management.

You will help build data pipelines, APIs, and internal tools, gaining hands-on experience with Claude, ChatGPT, and cloud platforms while contributing to investment workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
• Experience with data processing, automation, APIs, databases, or building internal tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and developing IT systems and technology infrastructure to support investment team operations.
• Develop and maintain tools, workflows, and data pipelines to increase efficiency in investment research and portfolio management.
• Integrate financial data, research platforms, and internal systems to enable seamless data flow.

• Utilize AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to support code development, research workflows, documentation, data processing, and workflow automation.
• Test, troubleshoot, and enhance internal investment technology systems and applications to improve functionality.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or other AI-assisted programming and productivity tools
• Experience with data processing, automation, APIs, databases, or building internal tools
• Basic knowledge of financial markets or economics
• Familiarity with SQL, cloud platforms, data analytics, or other programming languages
