Job summary

GovTech Singapore invites applications for the Technology Associate Programme (TAP), a three-year career-building track for aspiring technology leaders. You’ll rotate across cyber security, data engineering, data science, software, design or product management while working on nationwide public service projects.

You’ll gain hands-on project experience, mentorship, and structured training to deepen design craft and leadership potential, empowering you to shape digital services for Singaporeans.

Qualifications

• Citizen of Singapore or Singaporean Permanent Resident; eligible to commence work in 2027
• Degree in Interaction Design, UX Design, Industrial/Product Design or HCI; other backgrounds considered with strong design capability
• Showcase portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and design thinking

What Design TAP is

Our Technology Associate Programme (TAP) is an exclusive three-year talent programme designed for you to build a strong foundation towards becoming a technology leader. You will be groomed and nurtured to build in-depth expertise in the technology, solve nation-wide problems with our technology leaders, a making an impact on the lives of people in Singapore.

As a Technology Associate in Design, you'll begin your career designing digital services and products that improve the everyday lives of people in Singapore.

You'll build a strong foundation in user-centred design while working alongside experienced designers, product managers and engineers on real products used by millions. Through structured rotations, mentorship and hands‑on project experience, you'll deepen your design craft, grow your confidence and gain exposure to different problem spaces across the public sector.

You'll have the opportunity to shape your own growth in a supportive and collaborative environment. Along the way, you'll receive guidance from experienced GovTech designers and technology leaders, learn alongside a cohort of like‑minded associates, and benefit from curated development opportunities that help you build both your design expertise and leadership potential.

Whether you're conducting user research, shaping product experiences or designing intuitive and integrated service flows, you'll have opportunities to contribute meaningfully while learning from experienced practitioners who are invested in your growth.

What we are looking out for

• You are a Singapore citizen or Singaporean Permanent Resident
• Will be graduating from university and able to commence work in 2027, or those with less than one year of work experience
• Have a degree in Interaction Design, UX Design, Industrial or Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related discipline. We also welcome applicants from other backgrounds who can demonstrate strong design capability
• Demonstrate an interest in user-centered design through your portfolio, internships, coursework or personal projects
• Be familiar with design tools such as Figma or equivalent. Familiarity with front-end design or service design is a plus.
• Enjoy collaborating with others, communicating ideas clearly and learning through feedback
• Demonstrates critical and systems thinking, and approaches design briefs with curiosity rather than taking them at face value.
• Be motivated to design technology that creates meaningful impact for people
