Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a User Experience/Product Designer to transform complex government workflows into accessible, user-centered solutions. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver end-to-end design from research to high-fidelity prototypes.

You should have 3+ years in UX, a strong portfolio, and proficiency with Figma/Adobe CC. The role offers a collaborative environment with growth opportunities within the DPS portfolio.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional UX or Product Design experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UCD process, research, prototyping, and visual design skills.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe CC, or similar.
• Ability to leverage research and data to support design recommendations.
• Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners (Design, Product, Engineering).
• Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to learn, adapt and grow in UX design.

Developer Productivity and Services (DPS) builds the tools and platforms that power how government developers work. Our portfolio spans two broad fronts: Developer Productivity — including AI coding tools, SHIP-HATS, and Unified Quality Dashboard — and Developer Services, which includes the Central Product Marketplace where agencies discover, subscribe, provision, and manage GovTech's central products. Across both, we are raising the bar on what it means to build developer-facing and agency-facing products at scale.

[What you will be working on]

• Transform Complexity into Clarity: Take complex, technical workflows and distill them into accessible, intuitive, and user-friendly solutions.
• Champion User-Centric Design: Consult with stakeholders and end-users to deeply understand their needs. Advocate for the user perspective throughout the product development lifecycle.
• End-to-End Design Execution: Drive the design process from conceptualisation to delivery. Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that balance user needs with business goals.
• Lead Research Initiatives: Plan and conduct user research activities—including usability testing, contextual inquiries, interviews, and surveys—to uncover pain points and validate design decisions.
• Data-Driven Iteration: Analyse research findings and user feedback to propose technically feasible solutions and continuous improvements to our products.
• Collaborate & Influence: Work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure design feasibility and fidelity. Present design rationale clearly to stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of user value.

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience in User Experience (UX) or Product Design.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating a solid understanding of the User-Centered Design (UCD) process, including research, prototyping, and visual design skills.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe CC, or similar
• Able to leverage research and data to support design recommendations.
• Solid communication skills with an ability to collaborate compassionately and inclusively with cross-functional partners (Design, Product, Engineering)
• Take the initiative to make things happen
• Desire to learn, adapt and grow in the UX design field
