GovTech Singapore invites ambitious graduates to join the Technology Associate Programme (SWE TAP) in Software Engineering. Over three years, you will build digital services, rotate through roles, and work with engineers, tech leads, and product managers on large-scale public sector projects.

You will gain hands-on experience, structured mentorship, and opportunities to strengthen your technical craft and leadership potential within a collaborative GovTech environment.

Qualifications

• Be familiar with at least one programming language and have a working understanding of data structures, algorithms and software development practices.
• Familiarity with full-stack development, cloud infrastructure or systems design is a plus.
• Demonstrates critical and systems thinking and approaches engineering problems with curiosity.
• Be motivated to build technology that creates meaningful impact for people.
• Pursuing or have obtained a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

What SWE TAP is

As a Technology Associate in Software Engineering, you'll begin your career building digital services and products that improve the everyday lives of people in Singapore.

Over the three-year Technology Associate Programme (TAP), you'll build a strong foundation in software engineering while working alongside experienced engineers, tech leads and product managers on real products used by millions. Through structured rotations, mentorship and hands-on project experience, you'll deepen your technical craft, grow your confidence and gain exposure to different problem spaces across the public sector.

You'll have the opportunity to shape your own growth in a supportive and collaborative environment. Along the way, you'll receive guidance from experienced GovTech engineers and technology leaders, learn alongside a cohort of like-minded associates, and benefit from curated development opportunities that help you build both your technical expertise and leadership potential.

Whether you're designing system architecture, building and shipping features or solving engineering problems at scale, you'll have opportunities to contribute meaningfully while learning from experienced practitioners who are invested in your growth.

What we are looking out for

• You are a Singapore citizen or Singaporean Permanent Resident.
• Pursuing or have obtained a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline. We also welcome applicants from other backgrounds who can demonstrate strong software engineering capability.
• Will be graduating from university and able to commence work in 2027, or those with less than one year of work experience
• Demonstrate an interest in software engineering through your projects, internships, coursework, open-source contributions or personal projects
• Be familiar with at least one programming language and have a working understanding of data structures, algorithms and software development practices. Familiarity with full-stack development, cloud infrastructure or systems design is a plus.
• Enjoy collaborating with others, communicating ideas clearly and learning through feedback
• Demonstrates critical and systems thinking, and approaches engineering problems with curiosity rather than taking them at face value
• Be motivated to build technology that creates meaningful impact for people
