Job summary

Citi is launching its Summer Technology Analyst Program in Singapore. You will work in an agile development environment to build high-quality software across backend, frontend, and AI domains.

The cohort structure includes on-desk training, speaker series, and networking to accelerate your technical and leadership growth. The program starts in early June, with deep dives into Citi’s culture, tools, and processes.

Qualifications

• Graduation window: Dec 2027–June 2028.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, MIS or related.
• GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
• Proactive problem-solver who leverages Generative AI to address complex business problems.
• Global outlook and ability to collaborate across cultures/time zones.
• Excellent communication, project management, leadership and teamwork.
• Pass technical interviews with algorithmic problems.
• Experience in agile teams is desirable.
• Work authorization to work in Singapore without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work in an agile software development environment, building quality, scalable software.
• Develop code based on business requirements and ensure quality through testing cycles.
• Assist in debugging and code reviews; participate in peer reviews.
• Join a cohort of new hires and complete training on tools, processes and Citi culture.
• Exposure across backend (Java/Python), frontend (Web/Mobile), AI and data analytics domains.

We are committed to teaching you the ropes. The Summer Analyst Program starts in early June with an in-depth education on the Analyst role’s fundamentals and the nuances of Citi’s culture. The program also includes on-the-desk training, an informative speaker series, and networking opportunities. Summer Analysts often return to Citi after graduating from university to become Full-Time Analysts and continue their career in technology.

Your time here will look like this…

You will work in an agile software development environment, developing quality and scalable software solutions using leading-edge technologies. Based on business requirements, you will develop code consistent with quality standards and offer support during testing cycles and post-production deployment. To ensure defect‑free programming, you will use the appropriate tools to test and debug code and participate in the review of peer coding. You have additional support, too. You join a cohort of other new hires and go through training together to learn about our company, our tools and processes, and the technical skills you will need to succeed.

While technologies can vary slightly from team to team, some developers will have exposure within the following categories:

• Back-End Development: Java, Python, Spring Framework
• Front-End Development: Web (React, TypeScript, Angular, HTML5) and Mobile (Swift, Kotlin)
• Generative AI & AI Agents: GitHub Copilot with various models, Citi Squad (automated code reviews), Devin.AI (Agentic Code generation), Prompt Engineering, Workflow Design, GenAI Optimization, Stylus Workspaces (In-house Gemini)
• Data Analytics: Utilizing tools like Splunk, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics to track customer journey adoption and measure the business value of delivered products.

To join Citi, you should meet the following criteria:

• Graduation between Dec 2027 and June 2028.
• Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other tech related degrees.
• GPA of 3.0 or better is preferred.
• A proactive problem‑solver who thrives on innovation and embraces challenges with enthusiasm, leveraging Generative AI to address complex business problems and create novel solutions.
• Possess a global outlook and willingness to collaborate across cultures and time zones.
• Have excellent communication skills, project management, leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within diverse teams.
• Ability to pass technical interviews consisting of basic algorithmic programming exercises.
• Must be collaborative and adaptable, with excellent communication skills. Prior experience working in agile teams is desirable.
• Work Authorization: Authorized to work in Singapore without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
