Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. Singapore is seeking a skilled Fab Technician to lead shift safety, supervise equipment, and coordinate maintenance in our advanced semiconductor fab.

You will oversee Pumps, Chiller and Abatement systems and mentor technicians to ensure reliability and efficiency. This role requires a Diploma in Engineering, strong mechanical skills, vacuum system knowledge, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent working experience.
• Strong mechanical competence and ability to repair mechanical systems.
• Vacuum system knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read schematic diagrams to component level.
• Intermediate PC skills including MS Office Suite.
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to effectively prioritize tasks.
• Time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Follows procedures and work with minimal supervision.
• Able to perform 12-hour work shift.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively promote safety priorities and standards.
• Maintain vigilance and bring up workplace safety concerns.
• Proactively supervise the performance of equipment and address any issues in a timely manner.
• Direct shift equipment team in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Demonstrate a solid grasp of all Fab Support duties and able to assist in developing the technical skills of your team. Focus on Pumps, Chiller and Abatement systems.
• Perform administrative and supervisory duties for shift techs: attendance, staffing, and reviews.
• Serve as the main point of contact between the FAB personnel and the Fab Support group regarding Production issues.
• Accept responsibility for all equipment, process, and personnel issues during shift.
• Ensure coverage as needed to maintain shift needs.
• Coordinate shift contribution to TPM activities.
• Foster an environment for other Fab10 employees to resolve problems, give feedback and express concern.
• Assist with equipment installs, tests and commissioning.
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Requirements:

• A relevant Diploma in any Engineering courses OR equivalent working experience

• Strong mechanical competence with the ability to understand and repair mechanical systems

• Vacuum system knowledge and troubleshooting ability

• Ability to use schematic diagrams to solve systems to components level

• Intermediate PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Suite

• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to effectively prioritize tasks

• Time management, organization, and prioritization skills

• Follows procedures and work with minimal supervision

• Able to perform 12-hour work shift

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
