Job summary

MICRON SEMICONDUCTOR ASIA OPERATIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a shift technician to oversee safety, equipment performance, and maintenance activities in a Fab10 environment. The role emphasizes mechanical system expertise, vacuum knowledge, and the use of AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities include supervising a shift, coordinating TPM contributions, and ensuring coverage to meet operational needs, while maintaining strong communication with FAB and Fab Support teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent working experience.
• Strong mechanical competence and ability to repair mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read schematic diagrams to diagnose issues to component level.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic PC skills.
• Good problem-solving and task prioritization abilities.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and stay organized.
• Able to work a 12-hour shift.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
• Baseline digital fluency and AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly.

• Direct shift team in preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Assist in developing technical skills for Pumps, Chiller and Abatement systems.
• Perform administrative and supervisory duties for shift techs.
• Serve as main contact between FAB personnel and Fab Support for Production issues.
• Take responsibility for equipment, process and personnel issues during shift.
• Ensure coverage to meet shift needs.
• Coordinate shift contributions to TPM activities.
• Foster an environment for Fab10 employees to raise feedback and concerns.
• Assist with equipment installs, tests and commissioning.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing AI-enabled enhancements.

Job description

Responsibility:

• Proactively promote safety priorities and standards




• Maintain vigilance and bring up workplace safety concerns




• Proactively supervise the performance of equipment and address any issues in a timely manner




• Direct shift equipment team in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance




• Demonstrate a solid grasp of all Fab Support duties and able to assist in developing the technical skills of your team. Focus on Pumps, Chiller and Abatement systems.




• Perform administrative and supervisory duties for shift techs: attendance, staffing, and reviews




• Serve as the main point of contact between the FAB personnel and the Fab Support group regarding Production issues




• Accept responsibility for all equipment, process, and personnel issues during shift




• Ensure coverage as needed to maintain shift needs




• Coordinate shift contribution to TPM activities




• Foster an environment for other Fab10 employees to resolve problems, give feedback and express concern




• Assist with equipment installs, tests and commissioning




• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.




• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Requirements:

• A relevant Diploma in any Engineering courses OR equivalent working experience




• Strong mechanical competence with the ability to understand and repair mechanical systems




• Vacuum system knowledge and troubleshooting ability




• Ability to use schematic diagrams to solve systems to components level




• Intermediate PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Suite




• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to effectively prioritize tasks




• Time management, organization, and prioritization skills




• Follows procedures and work with minimal supervision




• Able to perform 12-hour work shift




• Good communication and interpersonal skills




• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency androle‑appropriate AIliteracy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
