Job summary

Avensys Consulting in Singapore is seeking a Java Techno-Functional Engineer to translate business needs into technical requirements and design solutions for enhancements and existing functionalities. You will collaborate with project leads, business users and developers to improve processes and system performance.

The role covers BAU production support for React/TypeScript frontend and Java backends, troubleshooting batch jobs, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and maintaining legacy

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM and sequential files.
• Experience in Application Support / Production Support / BAU support environments.
• Strong knowledge of Java and SQL, including application troubleshooting and database analysis.
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript frontend applications.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting batch processing jobs and batch cycles.
• Experience with legacy/mainframe application environments and file structures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Identify and resolve technical issues across React/TypeScript frontend applications, Java backends and SQL databases.
• Investigate frontend UI/UX issues and support improvements to application performance and user experience.
• Analyze operational issues, perform root-cause analysis and recommend system/process improvements.
• Collaborate with technical teams, project leads and business users to ensure smooth communication and effective issue resolution.
• Contribute to system enhancements, process automation and cross-functional technology initiatives.
