Job summary

NIPPON SANSO SINGAPORE LTD. is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine gas sampling, analysis and QC testing in our analytical lab.

You will operate GC and gas analysers, calibrate equipment, review results, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Fresh graduates are welcome; NITEC or Diploma in Chemistry or related field preferred; teamwork and good documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Good documentation practices and record-keeping.
• Ability to follow SOPs, test methods and product specs.
• Basic understanding of GC and gas analysers in laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine gas sampling, testing and analysis.
• Operate GC and other gas analysers.
• Perform equipment calibration and verification.
• Conduct basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Record and review QC test results; verify against specifications.
• Prepare and issue COA where applicable.
• Analyse incoming, in-process and finished products.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and calibration standards.
• Support quality and equipment troubleshooting investigations.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe laboratory environment.
• Adhere to established quality, environmental, health and safety policies.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine gas sampling, testing and analysis.
• Operate GC and other gas analysers.
• Perform equipment calibration and verification.
• Conduct basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Record and review QC test results.Verify results against product/customer specifications.
• Prepare and issue COA where applicable.
• Analyse incoming, in-process and finished products.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and calibration standards.
• Support quality and equipment troubleshooting investigations.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and safe gas handling.
• Support audits, improvement activities and other assigned QC duties
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe laboratory environment
• Authorized to stop work and report any unsafe acts or conditions, and ensure compliance with all applicable Health and Safety regulations and procedures
• Adhere to established quality, environmental protection, health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualification and Skills

• NITEC/Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• (fresh graduates may be considered)

• Basic knowledge of analytical instruments and laboratory testing experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) and gas analysers is an advantage.
• Able to understand and follow SOPs, test methods, product specifications and safety procedures.

• Good documentation, communication and teamwork skills.
