Job summary

SBS Transit Limited in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support railway signaling maintenance activities, follow procedures, and uphold safety standards.

You will work in a team, assist fault analysis, prepare reports, and help manage maintenance logistics and housekeeping. Relevant Nitec certification preferred; railway experience an advantage.

Qualifications

• Possess a Higher Nitec or Nitec in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunication/Computer/Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Able to work as part of a maintenance team at all levels.
• Result oriented, self-motivated and a team player.
• Preferably with working experience in maintenance environment; railway signalling is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance activities per procedures and safety requirements.
• Ensure major failures are responded to and rectified within reasonable time.
• Assist in fault data collection, remedial works and investigations for persistence faults.
• Assist in checking maintenance logistics (spares) to ensure proper functioning of activities.
• Prepare maintenance and fault reports for MSO in Charge.
• Maintain housekeeping and security of signalling maintenance offices and equipment rooms.
• Support audits by internal and external auditors.
• Assist and check that Work Instructions and Risk Management in Signalling are reviewed.
• Liaise with LTA on T&C of projects before, during and after handover.

Job description

Major Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance procedures and safety requirement
• Ensure major failures are responded to and rectified within reasonable time
• Assist in fault data, remedial works performed related to maintenance work and conduct investigations and fault analysis of persistence faults and suggest remedial actions
• Assist in checking the administration of the maintenance logistics (spares) required to ensure proper functioning of all maintenance activities
• Prepare maintenance and fault reports to MSO in Charge
• Assist and maintain proper housekeeping and security of Signalling maintenance offices, and equipment rooms in stations and depot
• Participate and support when audit by internal auditor and external auditor.
• Assist and check that Work Instructions and Risk Management in the Signalling are review.
• Assist in liaising with LTA in T &C of projects before, during and after handover.

Required Certification/s:

• Possess a Higher Nitec or Nitec, in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunication / Computer/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent

Required Knowledge:

• Preferably with working experience in maintenance environment
• Experience in the field of Railway Signalling is an advantage
